Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Mercilessly copying [info]lordbeaver and [info]jadespider and [info]y_fish, I have succumbed to the urge to fill out that ridiculously-long survey thing. Which, I actually think I have already done before. Or something like it, anyway. I've typed away at it for several nights, so it references events of three days as present tense and is utterly confusing in that respect.

So, without furthur ado,

(1) What is your name? Hannah
(2) Are you happy with it? Eh, it could be worse. I wouldn't like to have been named Eunice or Gertrude (apologies to anyone with those names), but, like everyone with vaguely-normal names, I've always wanted to be something cool like Francisca or Amelia.
(3) Are you named after anyone? Hannah is a family name, but, no, not specifically.
(4) Are you a prostitute? . . . and this has absolutely everything to do with names. It's like one of those interrogation tests . . . "So, how are you doing today? Is the sky blue? Is the grass green? Did you blow up a building on Sunday afternoon?!"
(5) Your screenname: Shieldmaidengirl. Which is not redundant, as some have pointed out; one can be a shieldmaiden . . . one can also be a girl. Ta da.
(6) Would you name a child of yours after you? I don't think so. After all, my first born is going to be named Antimony. If I have twins, they'll be Antimonous and Antimonic. We'll call them Mony and Tim for short. :D
(7) Then what would you name your children? Ooops, I just said that. :) In all seriousness, I like the name Amelia.
(8) If you were born a member of the opposite sex, what would your name be? Edward. My parents told all of their relatives that if I were a boy, I'd be Edward, and if I were a girl, I'd be Edwina. I am wondering why this is perhaps the reason we live so far away from anyone else related to us. :D
(9) If you could switch names with a friend, who would that be? Ah, I absolutely love Katherine's name. And Amelia in MT.
(10) Are there any mispronunciations or typos that people do with your name constantly? Sometimes people call me "Anna" . . .
(11) Would you drop your last name if you became famous? Of course . .. not.

BASICS
- - - - -

(12) Your gender: female
(13) Straight/gay/bi? straight
(14) Single? Yes. . . well . . . yes.
(15) Want to be? It's certainly less complicated to be single. But isn't life more interesting when it's complicated?
(16) Your birth date: May 23, 1989
(17) Your age: 15
(18) Age you act: Eh, I think I generally act older than I am, that is, unless I'm in the company of [info]muskratalex. Because, like, *ohmygod!*--we put thirteen-year-old fangirls to shame.
(19) Age you wish you were: I like being fifteen. I really do. I like being able to fence in the 16-and-under age catagory; I like being an underclassman and not having to deal with the Junior/Senior workload but not being a freshman.
(20) Your height: Most likely shorter than you.
(21) The color of your eyes: Brown, brown, brown.
(22) Happy with it? Actually, yes. I like having dark eyes.
(23) The color of your hair: dark blonde, though many people seem fixated on the idea that it is light brown. Pshaw.
(24) Happy with it? Yep. (Well, every once in a while I have a mad urge to have my hair be dazzlingly red or stunningly dark, but then I go read bad fanfic and am talked out of that. :))
(25) Left/right/ambidextrous? Right handed.
(26) Your living arrangement? Well, according to the ever-prescient MASH game Carlie and I played on the band bus, I'm *going* to live in an appartment in North Korea. And have a scorpion as a pet.
(27) Your family: Mother, Father, two little sisters.
(28) Have any pets? Dog, too fluffy for her own good + two cats (one schitzophrenic/bulemic/anorexic, one just plain mean) + several hermit crabs. My sister has a bearded dragon named Mabel.
(29) What's your job? Babysitting = major source of my income. Well, except for the middle-school orchestra pit gig. So, watching kids + random flute-ing activities.
(30) Piercings? Ears.
(31) Tattoos? Absolutely stupid.
(32) Obsessions? Book series (LotR, A Song of Ice and Fire, WoT, Harry Potter, Dune), certain fanfics (Draco Trilogy, Paradigm of Uncertainty), flute.
(33) Addictions? Internet. Sour Cream And Onion Cheez-its. Preferable combined.
(35) Do you speak another language? French, vaguely. Elvish, vaguely. I can say "We should burn it!" in Manderin Chinese and "Gay Anime Porn" in Japanese and the words for "Elbow," "Eybrow," and "S.hitheads" in German. I could practically run the U.N.
(36) Have a favorite quote? "YOU MUST BE TRAUMATIZED. TELL ME YOU ARE TRAUMATIZED."--Phantom of the Opera in 15 Minutes
(37) Do you have a webpage? Well . . . this . . .

DEEP THOUGHTS about life and you in it
- - - - -

(38) Do you live in the moment? I try to, but I don't think it works very often. There are just too many things to look forward to. . . . I end up, most of the time, waiting for events to transpire. Eh, but right now, currently, I'm in the moment. Ish. (25 days 'til All State Band!) :D
(39) Do you consider yourself tolerant of others? Pretty much.
(40) Do you have any secrets? Of course. Many passionate, deep, and dark, and *secret* secrets!
... No, not really. I'm too much of a blabbermouth to keep my own secrets. I have secrets from certain people, I suppose, but there are very few things in my life I keep entirely to myself.
(41) Do you hate yourself? Hell, no.
(42) Do you like your handwriting? It is terribly messy. I don't like it very much.
(43) Do you have any bad habits? Ergh, yes. Like the fact I should be either a) showering or b) reading NIGHT or c) reading my music theory book or d) cleaning up after the APWH party but I'm really just sitting around answering this. :D
(44) What is the compliment you get most from people? Eh, probably I'm smart and/or a good flute player.
(45) If a movie was made about your life, what would it be called? "Life under the Spotlights . . . and the stage, too, come to think of it."
(46) What's your biggest fear? sticking my hand around a corner to reach a light switch and finding someone else's hand already on the switch
(47) Can you sing? Of course. Now, the question, do I sing *well*.... :D
(48) Do you ever pretend to be someone else just to look cool? I don't have to pretend *anything* to be cool! :D
(49) Are you a loner? Ack, no.
(50) What are your no. 1 priorities in life? I want to figure out what I want to do with my life. I really want to excell in whatever field I choose, but the many things that I do seem to hamper that. I want to be an amazing fencer, an amazing writer, and an amazing flutist, and I know I'm working towards all those, but after a while, one is going to have to come out dominant. I know I can't go through my whole life trying to be great at everything, and my priority currently is to see if I can come close to deciding which of these paths I truly wish to take to become great. (And when I talk about this, I mean basically choosing between writing and flute. I like fencing, and want to become better at it, but I know it will always be more of a hobby beside the two other activities.)
(51) If you were another person, would you be friends with you? Eh, probably. I think we'd get in trouble.
(52) Are you a daredevil? Sort of. In some things, anyway. (Way to be vague, Hannah!)
(53) Is there anything you fear or hate about yourself? Hate? Not really. Sometimes my work ethic. Fear? Well, besides the irrational terror of my eyebrows falling off, nooo. *sarcastic*
(54) Are you passive or aggressive? aggresive, I think.
(55) Do you have a journal? . . .
(56) What is your greatest strength and weakness? Strength--creativity and perserverence. Weakness--jumping to conclusions, innappropriate comments at innappropriate times, sometimes lack of appropriate empathy
(57) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Perfect pitch would be nice. Or a photographic memory. Really, either. I'm not choosy.
(58) There are three wells, love, beauty and creativity. . . . Now, all I can think of is Moulin Rouge . . . "Truth, beauty! Freedom, annnnnddd--LOOOOVEE!" Likewise, I suppose I'm tempted to go with the first one. The third might be a tie, though . . . perhaps half and half?
(59) How do you vent? Writing long, pretentious rants on locked posts on livejournal. ;) Or, perhaps, yelling at any who will listen. (In this manner, [info]lordbeaver was subject to a long and involved tale about uptight flute players today)
(60) Do you think you are emotionally strong? I like to think I am. I can force my mind to endure pain pretty easily, and try to control bad habits by strength of will. Most of the time, it works out, but, eh, not perfectly.
(61) Is there anything you regret doing/not doing in life? Ah, I wish oh-so-much I had started playing flute before fifth grade, and started taking lessons with my teacher before seventh. Because . . . I just see all these little kids going into lessons and I'm so jealous that I didn't think to start earlier and how much I missed back then.
(62) Do you think life has been good so far? Absolutely. I'm such a dork, but I really honestly enjoy High School. Believe me, if my life were a pit of angst, you guys would *know*.
(63) What is the most important lesson you've learned from life?
Dear Moulin Rouge,
OUT OF MY BRAIN.
Thank you,
Hannah.

PS: The greatest thing you'll ever learn/
is to love, and be loved in return./
(64) What do you like the most about your body? I like my hair; I like my eyes (which is actually sort of odd, considering they're pretty much normal brown, but I do like having dark eyes); I like being short and I like my complexion (most of the time). I have a particular fondness for my neck, but, then again, it is quite useful in its duty of attaching my head to my shoulders.
(65) And least? My stubby fingers and stubborn fingernails.
(66) Do you think you are good looking? Eh, I think so.
(67) Are you confident? In some things, but not others. Example: I will read my prose to people no matter how bad I think it is, however, I am absolutely unconfident about reading poetry in front of people. Or, I'll blabber to people for hours on end about nothing at all, and then, when I seriously would like to say something to someone, I'm too shy to say it.
(70) Are you perceived wrongly? Um. Hm.

- - - - -
DO YOU...
- - - - -

(71) Smoke? NO.
(72) Do drugs? NO.
(73) Read the newspaper? The comics, yes, I do. :D
(74) Pray? No.
(75) Go to church? No.
(76) Talk to strangers who IM you? Eh, once Carlie IMed me and pretended to be a stalker and it took me a billion gazillion years to figure out who she was.
(77) Sleep with stuffed animals? Not anymore.
(78) Take walks in the rain? When convienient.
(79) Talk to people even though you hate them? Well, generally the people I hate go more under the "yell" catagory than the "talk" one.
(80) Drive? I have a permit, but my only travel is to fencing and/or flute lesson.
(81) Like to drive fast?AH. NO.
- - - - -
WOULD OR HAVE YOU EVER...
- - - - -

(82) Liked your voice? Ack, no. I absolutely hate recording myself on an answering machine.
(83) Hurt yourself? Not intentionally, but, yeah, I'm a clumsy klutz. Nearly crashed over an entire desk full of music last time I was at flute lesson and killed my hip in the process.
(84) Been out of the country? Went to New Zealand when I was two. Remember nothing of it. Apparently stuck a pea up my nostril and had to be escorted to the nearest hospital.
(85) Eaten something that made other people sick? I'm sure I have. Anchovies or whatnot.
(88) Been in love? Yes.
(89) Done drugs? NO. NO. NO.
(90) Gone skinny dipping? No. I don't think so, anyway. Perhaps when I was very little, but that probably doesn't count.
(91) Had a medical emergency? Um, see #84.
(92) Had a surgery? *knockonwood*
(93) Ran away from home? Nah, don't think so.
(94) Played strip poker? I have been asked to. I declined.
(95) Gotten beaten up? By younger siblings, yes.
(96) Beaten someone up? See 95. Retaliation.
(97) Been picked on? Middle school = teh suck.
(98) Been on stage? Yes. Been under it? Yep!
(99) Opened a package? I opened one that contained a ninth-grade cellist the other day.
(100) Slept outdoors? Yep!
(101) Thought about suicide? Never.
(102) Pulled an all-nighter? At Alyssa's party last year, I stayed up 'til 9:00AM, then fell asleep on Samantha's foot while watching the extra features on the Chocolat DVD.
(103) If yes, how many days? Only that once.
(104) Gone one day without food? Eeee, no.
(105) Talked on the phone all night? Ah, not a phone person. More an Instant Messanger person. . . and I've talked most of the night on that before. :)
(106) Slept together with the opposite sex without actually having sex first? No.
(107) Slept all day? Not quite. I've slept in until maybe noon before, but my mind has a specific sleep schedule. And when it's light outside, sleep is not happening.
(108) Killed someone? Um, *no.*
(109) Made out with a stranger? No.
(110) Had sex with a stranger? . . . No.
(111) Thought you're going crazy? Not really. My brain rationalizes things as outside problems before going the "insanity" path. I've played the part of an insane character in a play, before. ("Bloody, Flaming Tower!")
(112) Kissed the same sex? No.
(113) Done anything sexual with the same sex? No.
(114) Been betrayed? Yeah. That was the point in time when I realized middle school actually wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
(115) Had a dream that came true? Yes.
(116) Broken the law? Not in a big way. I'm sure I've done something that violated zoning laws or suchlike.
(117) Met a famous person? My mom once worked with some guy who was Clay Aiken's best friend. Other than that. . . I've met Christopher Paolini, and Gail Carson Levine.
(120) Have you ever killed an animal by accident? Squishy bugs.
(121) On purpose? Mosquitoes. Hey, it's North Carolina, y'all.
(145) Told a secret you swore you wouldn't tell? In fourth grade, I swore I wouldn't tell anyone that this guy I knew liked one of my friends and I told her, like, the day after the fact. I sucked at Elementary school.
(146) Stolen anything? No.
(147) Been on radio/tv? Eh, I was interviewed for being in the Big Sky State Games fencing competition, but I'm not quite sure if they ever aired that thing.
(148) Been in a mosh-pit? No.
(149) Had a nervous breakdown? *twitch* Not really.
(150) Considered religious vocation? No.
(152) Bungee jumped? Ack, no.
(153) Had a dream that kept coming back? Dreams that were very similar, yes. Specific feelings run through threads of my dreams a lot.

CLOTHES
- - - - -

(154) Shoe brand? Eh. Couldn't care less.
(155) Brand of clothing? Clothing is nice.
(156) Cologne/perfume? No.
(157) What are you normally wearing to school/work? Jeans + shirt, usually. I'm going to wear a skirt tomorrow, though, as it is lovely-warm outside. :)
(158) How about parties? Um, same?
(159) Wear hats? Only rarely. I look good in hats, but they're against dress code and I never really think to wear them outside of school.
(160) Judge other people by their clothing? *steals Simon's answer* Only in extreme cases (i.e. lack thereof, pure gold chainmail, skirt made of human skin, etc.)
(161) Wear make-up? Very rarely. Lip gloss is nice, but whenever I dress up, there's a good chance it's for something flute related and in that case lip gloss is very awkward. Cover-up and I are good friends, on occasion. Mascara and I are mortal enemies.
(162) Favorite place to shop? Bookstores!
(163) Favorite article of clothing? I have a devillishly-attractive hooded cloak. :D Seriously, however, I like my blue sweater and my crazy skirt with several hundred colors in it. Preferably not together.
(164) Are you trendy? Hah!
(165) Would you rather wear a uniform to school? Most likely not.

- - - - -
BELIEFS
- - - - -

(166) Believe in life on other planets? Somewhere. The universe in infinite.
(167) Miracles? People can make their own miracles.
(168) Astrology? No.
(169) Magic? No.
(170) God? Too Complicated To Detail.
(171) Satan? No.
(172) Santa? Haha.
(173) Ghosts? Only when it's midnight and veryvery dark and creepy. And then I feel really stupid afterward.
(174) Luck? A little bit.
(175) Love at first sight? No . . . well, I don't *think* so. Not quite at first sight. Perhaps at first encounter.
(176) Yin and Yang? Eh.
(177) Witches? *sings Wizard of Oz theme song*
(178) Easter bunny? o_o
(179) Believe it's possible to remain faithful forever? Yes.
(180) Believe there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Um.
(181) Do you wish on stars? Yes. It's so silly; I'm pretty cynical in my beliefs, and then go off and cast wishes on almost everything, just in case.

- - - - -
DEEP THEOLOGICAL QUESTIONS
- - - - -

(182) Do you believe in the traditional view of Heaven and Hell? No.
(183) Do you think God has a gender? No.
(184) Do you think that science counteracts religion? No.
(185) Do you believe in organized religion? No. Personal belief is very different from organized religion itself.
(186) Where do you think we go when we die? I'm not quite sure.

- - - - -
AMIGOS
- - - - -

(187) Do you have any gay/lesbian friends? A few.
(188) Who is your best friend? Couldn't possibly choose. It all depends on the circumstance, and, fairly importantly, the place I'm in. I really don't have a set "best" friend.
(189) Who is the one person that knows the most about you? Besides me, I'd say [info]muskratalex.
(190) What's the best advice that anyone has ever given to you? Keep writing.
(191) Your favorite inside joke? Ahhh, too many. How about... NUMA-NUMA, YAY!
(192) Thing you're picked on most about? My family laughs at my constant application of salt to every food item imaginable.
(193) Who's your longest known friend? Eh, besides some people from elementary school I don't see very often, I'd have to say Katherine.
(194) Newest? Erm . . . not quite sure who I met last.
(195) Shyest? Perhaps Alyssa. Or Emma, on occasion, though she can be very loud as well. :)
(196) Funniest? All of them. I have died laughing at the prompting of Emma, Matthew, Alex, Simon, Allison, Jessica, Brittnay and many others before.
(197) Sweetest? I shall not rank.
(198) Closest? It really depends. Like, Alex knows absolutely everything about my writing and Murphy knows all about my flute-ing life, and Peter could tell everyone exactly what footwork problems I have in fencing. I have quite a few facets of me; quite a few people know the most about those facets.
...
I just nearly said "faucets."
(199) Weirdest? Allison could possibly win this. Or Brittnay. Or Simon or Emma or Matthew or Alex. :D
(200) Smartest? Everyone I know is smart.
(201) Ditziest? Probably me.
(202) Friends you miss being close to the most? Friends I see for only parts of the year, like MT people, or friends I see semi-rarely, like Will from TYS.
(203) Last person you talked to online? Peter, who is once again at the fencing club-business again!
(204) Who do you talk to most online? [info]lordbeaver and [info]muskratalex are *always* online at the same time as me. I talk to Will quite a bit, as well.
(205) Who are you on the phone with most? Eh, MT people. :) Maybe Brittnay or Allison?
(206) Who do you trust most? I trust quite a few people. And they probably all know who they are.
(207) Who listens to your problems? Anyone who is around as problems arise. (As I mentioned earlier, poor Matthew got an earful of flute-ing-ness as he was around to hear me vent about that.)
(208) Who do you fight most with? Alex, I suppose. But it is a snarky type of fighting that involves much name-calling and much more teeniespeak.
(209) Who's the nicest? My friends. Duuh. :D
(210) Who's the most outgoing? Carlie. Carlie, Carlie, Carlie. And, more Carlie. :D
(211) Who's the best singer? Carlie, again.
(212) Who's on your shit-list? Hoooo, boy. Currently: Band teacher, flutist from TYS, a certain member of the newspaper staff.
(213) Have you ever thought of having sex with a friend? No.
(214) Who's your second family? My friends. Absolutely.
(215) Do you always feel understood? Most of the time; it's a very strange feeling when I can't put to words what I actually feel, though it happens pretty frequently.
(216) Who's the loudest friend? Why is the answer to this always "Carlie"?
(217)Do you trust others easily? Fairly.
(219) Name one person who's arms you feel safe in: Ah, everyone but [info]muskratalex's, because she has nails about five feet long. :) (Just kidding :)
(220) Do your friends know you? Yes. Very nearly all of me.
(221) Friend that lives farthest away: Once again, the Montana congregation!

- - - - -
LOVE, and all that
- - - - -

(222) Did you get frightened or uncomfortable seeing that as a section title? It is making me sing Moulin Rouge again and YES THAT IS FRIGHTENING.
(225) Do you consider love a mistake? No. Oh, maybe the repercussions of falling in love and doing things under the influence of love or romance can be mistakes, but love, as a feeling, is not a mistake.
(226) What do you find romantic? Intelligence, passion, an honest sense of humor . . . as for acts, aw, I won't go into the mushy stuff. ;)
(227) Turn-on? Eyes. Smile.
(228) Turn-off? *steals answer from previous test-taker* Stupidity, ignorance.
(229) First kiss? :)
(231) If someone you had no interest in dating expressed interest in dating you, how would you feel? Awkward, certainly. I'd probably try to get to know the person better to see if they'd seen something between us that I hadn't caught.
(232) Do you prefer knowing someone before dating them or going "blind"? Knowing, knowing, and definitely knowing.
(233) Have you ever wished it was more "socially acceptable" for a girl to ask a guy out? I have asked someone out before. I have asked people to dance before. Perhaps several of the latter case were not such good ideas on my part, but I don't see anything wrong with it.
(235) Have you ever been romantically attracted to someone physically unattractive? If I'm romantically attracted to someone, my mind automatically finds them physically attractive. The two just fit together.
(236) Do you think the opposite sex finds you good looking? I suppose some do. I don't think they find me bad-looking, but it's just hard to imagine what other people think.
(237) What is best about the opposite sex? They tell better jokes. Or, at least, funnier dirty jokes.
(238) What is the worst thing about the opposite sex? Subtlety is sometimes lost on them. But, then again, my subtlety skills equal that of a block of granite, so this is not quite my personal experience here.
(245) Do you read porn? No.
(246) Read the articles? No.
(247) Just the pics? No.
(248) What's the last present someone gave you? Well, I shall go back to the story of the boxed-up neighbor. . . .
(257) Are you in love? Tancavë. Extra points for finding out a) what language this is in and b) whether it means 'yes' or 'no.' :)
(258) Do you consider your significant other hot? I have no significant other.
(264) What would you do if you were walking down the street and saw some hot guy/girl standing on the sidewalk? Well, if they were literally "hot," I would probably most generously offer them a popsicle or glass of water.

- - - - -
WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON...
- - - - -

(279) That haunted you? Robert Langworthy. But that is most obvious. Also, someone whom [info]lordbeaver and I have dubbed "The Phantom of the Opera," and whom we fear is going to kidnap me and take me to his watery hidden lair underneath the Enloe stage.
(280) You wanted to kill? Hm. Very recently there was a friends-locked post detailling that information.
(281) That you laughed at? I think Leo.
(282) That laughed at you? Perhaps Simon, on a lj comment.
(283) That turned you on? This *is* a public post, and shall therefore be dealt with in a public manner.
(284) You went shopping with? Erm, my sisters.
(285) That broke your heart? Not quite sure.
(286) To disappoint you? Hm.
(287) To ask you out? . . .
(288) To make you cry? My Muse of Frustration. :D
(289) To brighten up your day? Everyone I've been talking to for the past hour.
(290) That you thought about? Does George R.R. Martin and his newst book count? :D
(291) You saw a movie with? My family.
(292) You talked to on the phone? Samantha, I think.
(293) You talked to through IM/ICQ? Well, right now, it is [info]lordbeaver.
(294) You saw? My dad, who miraculously fixed my e-mail. Yay.
(295) You lost? Oh, gosh, I can't find that Alex anywhere. I swear, I set her aside for a moment, and--poof! She's missing! [Hannah's way of tactlessly avoiding serious answers]

- - - - -
RIGHT THIS MOMENT...
- - - - -

(337) Are you going out? Oh, at 9:15 on a school night? Hahahahahahaha.
(338) Will it be with your significant other? No significant other.
(339) Or some random person? Ah, why is this thing so bent on me having a social life?!
(340) What are you wearing right now? Pajama pants, hideously-maroon Montana State University t-shirt.
(341) Body-part you're touching right now: Um. My foot is touching my other foot.
(342) What are you worried about right now? Ah, generic teenage insecurity. Also, the fact that I have a cut on the back of my knee and that perhaps it hit an artery and I'm going to bleed to death right now, despite the fact that a band-aid seems to be doing just fine.
(343) What books are you reading? Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
(344) What's on your mousepad? A little "Dell" logo.
(345) Use 5 words to describe how you're feeling: Wondering, calm, remenants-of-anger, introspective, hopeful
(346) Are you bored? Not quite.
(347) Are you tired? Only when I contemplate the prospect of having to stay up later to catch up on my writing of the day. Meh.
(348) Are you talking to anyone online? Oooh, yes.
(349) Are you talking to anyone on the phone? No.
(350) Are you lonely or content? Content.
(351) Are you listening to music? Nope, but good idea.

I've never thought of us as having such similar views on things until I read this survey. Only, you win at life. Ah, I'm unworthy!

Okay, that was my honest first impression after reading this, but cool survey :)

I should make one of my own and fill it out. It would ask questions like... ummm... oh, okay, I admit it. I couldn't think of anything funny :o

Ah, yay! Winning at life is always fun. :)

Your quiz would be awesome. The questions could be horribly biased and slanted and everyone who took it would cry in frustration when asked, "So, is A Song of Fire And Ice the best book in the universe, or does that honor go to Atlas Shrugged?" "Now, about that Atlas Shrugged, is it WAY COOL, or SUPER WAY COOL?!" "How much do you hate [name omitted] in fifth period class?" :D

Waitaminutewaitaminutewaitaminute, you *met* Christopher Paolini? But... he is still alive and unmaimed! How did you restrain your rage?

For the record, when I actually typed my reply, yours was not up yet. You'll understand this disclaimer when you read mine.

I was young at the time. Senseless. Thoughtless. Naive. Only . . . fourteen. (Perhaps almost fifteen.) He came to Quail Ridge books and I told him I liked the way he wrote his sword-fighting scenes. *geeky death* And I'm sure there was innuendo in that last statement, but I don't think either Mr. Paolini or I got it.

Oh, Hannah, you have prompted much laughter to erupt from my corporeal shell.

Now I *am* the most recent person to laugh at you. Definitely.

You met Christopher Paolini? AND HE IS STILL ALIVE!!!!!! In the musical theatre class in which I was enrolled--the one with "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" (in which I participated in the singing)--was taught by a woman who had taught Clay Aiken music.

Clearly, she had not taught him much/well about lyrics, else he would not have performed a creepy, voyeuristic song that makes "Every Breath You Take" seem very tame by comparison.

Oh, and "online at the same time as me." For shame, Hannah, for shame.

Me like cookies ;-P

Me likes cookies as well. And, as I told Emma . . . I have indeed sinned, oh, members of Writers Against Reading Paolini's Egregious Dialogue. I can only hope the WARPED club will forgive me someday. Someday . . . :p

Well, I don't know, you only have TENUOUS ties with WARPED, so I'd keep on my toes, if I were you...

AND YOU WERE THE FIRST PERSON TO REPLY TO CASSANDRA CLAIRE'S COOKIE!!!!!! GO YOU!!

And I was filled with a sudden, swelling burst of pride that I *know* you. Imagine if I ever actually *met* Her, or if She actually replied *directly* to one of my comments. I am but a lowly WORM beside Her radiant awesomeness.

Tee hee.

And Draco is *not* dead.

As I said in my reply to Her post (page three...eeep), he's already died; we aren't buying it, this time. He's The Boy Who Cried "Dead!"

AAaaah, I hope so. So very much. Because . . . I simply can't stand the snippet of what she described Harry's reaction as.

Could possibly be Lucius's funeral, though, so we can still hope. Though why Ginny would be crying is beyond me. *analyzes* I'm sort of hoping Sirius or Remus bites the dust, and now feel really bad for thinking that. Because, we've dealt with that enough in canon. :D

Aaaah, the tripping over Mary's desk was hilarious. I was sitting in the lesson that came after me 'cause mom was late picking me up, and was being stealthily silent when mom waved outside; I whispered goodbye to Mary, who was in the middle of teaching, and tried to sneak out the door. Unfortunately, caught her desk on my hip on the way out, which made a fantastic crashing noise and caused me to turn bright red and sort of hop around in pain for several minutes, while assuring Mary that I actually was okay.

Ish.

And, yeah, definitely-- it seems like there aren't that many great movies out now, though. I can't wait until Hitchhiker's Guide and all the other Summer movies start up! :)
